For our annual, spring classic in Austin, we're returning to The North Door (the site of an epic Texas Book Festival affair in October) for a blowout of the most extraordinary order, with a brilliant lineup that'll have in throes. Don't you dare miss it.

What is Literary Death Match? Four writers read their own work for seven minutes or less, and are then judged by three all-star judges. Two finalists are chosen to compete in the Literary Death Match finale, a vaguely-literary game to decide the ultimate winner.

Literary Merit: Geoff Dyer, National Book Critics Circle Award-winner; author of But Beautiful & The Search
Performance: Kathy Valentine, songwriter and musician from the Go-Go's and the solo album Light Years
Intangibles: Owen Egerton, comedian, screenwriter and author of How Best to Avoid Dying and Everyone Says That at the End of the World

* Antonio Ruiz-Camacho, multiple award-winning author of Barefoot Dogs
* Cecil Castellucci, California Book Award Gold Medal-winning author of Grandma's Gloves and Boy Proof
