Badgerdog Adult Workshop: Ancient Indian Poetry
Terrazas Branch Library

“Imagination is the core of desire,” wrote Anne Carson. Desire has been fuel for many poems throughout history, whether the desire is that for a connection to a higher power, a desire to know one’s self, a desire for community or for a lover. Many of our views about longing and beauty in poetry are grounded in ancient Indian Poetry. Led by poet Micah Ruelle, you’ll learn more about the history and forms of this tradition and rekindle (or further ignite) your own fervor for language, love, and beauty.
